With a relatively short distance to both the Mediterranean coastline and snow-capped mountains in the Sierra Nevada National Park, Granada is an adventurous city. This is the last city that was recaptured by the Catholics. Here lies the very Alhambra, the Moorish palace which is the foremost symbol of Arab dominion, art and architecture. This is Spain’s most visited attraction. Granada’s Old Town, the Albaicin neighbourhood, is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Here there is an unmistakable mix of Western and Arabic influence, in terms of gastronomy, crafts and urban planning.
The culture, climate and history give Granada a special touch. When you walk around the shops in the city’s Arabian street, you seem to be in an Arab country and not in Spain. From Granada, the road is not long to the southeastern side of the Sierra Nevada, the so-called Alpujarra. The mountain ridge is known for hot springs, beautiful scenery and secluded and bohemian villages with the production of exquisite ham products.
The school arranges trips to both the Sierra Nevada and the Sun Coast at cost.

Accommodation
Host family with half or full board, or shared student apartment. Single or double room. Also the opportunity to stay in student homes where almost all rooms are en suite. Choose between self catering or pension.
