Portugal became one of the dominant maritime nations as early as the 1400’s, with Lisbon as an important starting point. Merchants and adventurers gathered in the city, which quickly became the richest, proudest and most beautiful in Europe. Still to this day you can see many traces of this great power in Portugal. Otherwise, Portuguese have a good mood that is good for Norwegian, and traditional dishes such as Bacalao, also Portugal’s national law, testify to an extensive trade between our two countries. Portuguese is spoken by over 200 million people worldwide.

Lisbon is a beautiful city characterised by wide avenues, parkland and lively markets. The city is culturally very rich, and grand architecture and beautiful sights have made it one of the best destinations in Europe. Among the famous sights of the city is Alfama with its narrow streets and famous trams and if you need a refreshing bath, it is not far to the famous seaside resorts of Estoril or Cascais.

• Normal course with 3 lessons per day

• Normal course + workshop with 5 lessons per day, all levels. You can also combine normal courses with individual instruction, or only take individual lessons.

• Course with CIPLE exam and support from the Loan Fund. (In Portugal, CIPLE is the official exam. The exam can be taken at 5 different levels and is arranged three times a year.)

• The Loan Fund approves the exam as a basis for providing support. The course runs over 13 weeks with 15 hours per week. The program is like the normal course. In the last few weeks, the normal course is supplemented with individual lessons to prepare for the CIPLE exam.
