The Riviera’s “capital” is well known to many Norwegians, and an excellent place to study French. In the narrow alleyways and streets of the old town it is nice to stroll around and feel the rush of history, and sit down in a nice sidewalk cafe. In the Cours Saleya square, the market is bursting during the day, and in the evenings there is also a bustling nightlife here, with great cultural diversity.

The town has beautiful pebble beaches and a unique boardwalk, the Promenade des Anglais. Hike up to Castle Hill, a hill with exciting ruins and stunning views. And don’t forget a visit to the Matisse Museum, the world-renowned French painter loved Nice and the special light one can experience along the French Riviera. Nice has an everlasting and intoxicating charm, this is a vibrant city that easily creates fond memories.

A couple of times a week (a little less in the winter), the language school organises activities at its own expense so that the students get to know the city better. Activities include museum visits, restaurant visits, disco, bowling and movies. On weekends excursions to Cannes, Antibes, Monaco etc. are often arranged.
