Marbella for Adults

Many Norwegians have apartments in the area around Marbella, which is an hour’s drive from Malaga. Marbella means “beautiful sea”, and the city is known as an exclusive resort, a favourite destination for celebrities. At the same time, the city has also retained its distinctive character as a true Andalusian, despite the fact that, like the rest of Andalucia, it was ruled by the Arabs. Marbella is perfect for those who not only want to combine learning Spanish with sun and bath, but also want to move around a bit. For example, Marbella is known as a paradise for anyone who enjoys golf.

Along the fine beaches of the city centre there is a nice promenade, and the old town is a well kept and charming little gem. Here you can wander through narrow alleys, and between whitewashed houses with wrought iron balconies and colourful flower pots. Tapas bars can be found everywhere, even around the nice little orange square right in the centre.
