Lindau, with its around 25,000 inhabitants, is a medieval town on an island in Lake Constance, Germany’s largest lake. The Bodensee region is one of Germany’s most magnificent areas thanks to the beautiful landscape with small lakes, orchards, vineyards, small forests and the Austrian and Swiss Alps in the background. The old part of town with its harbor, churches, towers, narrow streets and small places attracts and fascinates visitors from all over the world.
Throughout the year there are many cultural events such as carnival, historical festivals, concerts, performances and international congresses in addition the area offers a wide range of leisure activities.
