In the Bavarian capital Munich, folklore traditions and ompa-ompa music live side-by-side with designer boutiques in innovative urban environments. Cosy Munich in southern Germany soars with life and warm atmosphere where it lies at the foot of the Alps. As one of Germany’s largest university cities, the city boasts excellent cultural and entertainment offerings. And beer of course. Beer brewing is driven to the utmost perfection by the many breweries, reaching its peak during the Oktoberfest, a 16-day beer festival that is the world’s largest of its kind.
If you want to take a little break from the vibrant city life and German studies, there are many large green spaces, galleries and museums where you can find inspiration and tranquillity. In less than an hour you can also reach the Alps, where you will find cosy little villages, world-class resorts, and a fantastic hiking terrain.
The school is centrally located in the city centre and has its own activity program which includes “Munich highlights”; like for example. a cultural visit to the Pinakoteket, a walk at Nymphenburg Castle, a visit to FC Bayern Munich’s home ground, and an excursion to the famous English park.
